Saint-Étienne Biennale coworking station information
Client: AREP / SNCF
Instructions design, Saint-Étienne, France, March 2017
I was commissioned alongside AREP to design the information panels for the ephemeral coworking station furniture installed at the main train station during Saint-Étienne’s 10th Design Biennale. Conceived for a high-traffic public environment, the panels combine strong visual impact with clear, immediate legibility.
The design organizes information in distinct layers: a bold headline to attract attention from a distance, contextual content explaining the biennale theme and SNCF’s coworking experimentation, and a set of pictogram-based instructions illustrating possible uses of the space. Particular care was given to information hierarchy, typography, and iconography to ensure clarity, accessibility, and intuitive use for travelers.
